How BENT Productions started...and why

In 2024, a vibrant new community theatre company emerged, in the south-west of Brisbane when two women, over copious amounts of wine, and having had not much luck in the finding of kindred spirits who truly understood theatre, decided to start up a community theatre that could grow as the performers, writers and artists required. This meant a lot of dedication, time and use of our own funds to kick it off. After several setbacks but backed by the love and support of the local community, and our friends across community theatre at large, BENT Productions was born. BENT is dedicated to fostering creativity and inclusivity in the performing arts scene. With passionate actors, directors, and volunteers at its helm, the company aspires to bring captivating stories,both well-known favourites and emerging, to life and build a thriving cultural hub within the local community, albeit in our unique BENT way.
