Welcome to the BENT Incubator

The BENT Incubator is an initiative for scriptwriters for theatre, film and television. It is an opportunity for budding writers to hear and see how their script is interpreted by other through one of our incubator sessions which we will be holding every few months.

Our Incubator Sessions consist of the writer, who tells us how the play came about and why they wrote it. Afterward, our cast does a cold reading of the play. The players will write notes on the scripts which the writers are welcome to take home with them. Then we turn it over to the panel for feedback. This can elucidate things like the flow of the dialogue and how it feels to act and they may be things that the writer hasn't considered. The writer is not obliged to take on any of the feedback. They are only suggestions and we would never tell anyone that their work is bad. It is a support group and we ask that you are open to suggestions.
